Doer of the Word

Be a doer of the Word, and not a hearer only.
Be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.
For without a foundation, your house will surely fall.
It should be built upon Jesus Christ, the Way , the Truth, and the Life.

Well, there are all kinds of Christians, every kind of church you can name, preaching all kinds of gospel with the law in Jesus’ name. Oh don’t be deceived, repent and believe, cast out devils, heal the sick, and the dead receive to life, if you walk in the light.

Be a doer…
Got you a big ole church, got you a swinging door, but the sheep don’t know what we in this religion for.
Jesus only did what He saw the Father do, and so should you.
So be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.

Well there are all kinds of prophets passing through the land today, many winds of doctrine, blowing this and that way,
Even denying the Lord that bought them, as they bring in their damnable lies. They’re not being doers of the Word. They are deceivers only.

Be a doer…
You say that Jesus died, you even say He rose again. You say I’ve preached the Word, and now it’s up to Him, but the Word without the Spirit, it will do you no good. And if you’re not holding the Head, you never understood.
If you could quote the Bible backwards, it would do you no good. So be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. Just Be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only.

There is a Righteousness

There is a righteousness that flows from my throne. There is a peace within, and joy like you’ve never known. There is a city filled with glory and light. And there is a promise of everlasting life. In the Kingdom of God, in the Kingdom of God, there is a righteousness, in the Kingdom of God. There is a righteousness that flows from my throne. There is a peace within, and joy like you’ve never known. There is a city filled with glory and light. There is a promise of everlasting life.

There is a river the streams of which make glad the City of our God, the City of God. There is a river the streams of which make glad the City of our God, the City of God.  In the Kingdom of God, in the Kingdom of God, there is a righteousness in the Kingdom of God.

Grace to the Humble

I give grace to the humble when they fall. I give leanness to the prideful soul, and living to them all. As the days are passing, will the prideful look to me, and like the humble spirit be set free. I give grace to the humble when they fall. I give leaness to the prideful soul, and living to them all. As the days are passing will the prideful look to me, and like the humble spirit, be set free.

Turn from all your busyness and strife. You thought I wanted labor, but I want your life. Give that precious something that you hold within your hand. Let me search your heart now, tell me, don’t you understand?

I give grace to the humble when they fall. I give leaness to the prideful soul, and living to them all. As the days are passing, will the prideful look to me, and like the humble spirit, be set free.

Can’t you see your life is not your own? Come release your burdens at the foot of my throne. Walk with me in the Spirit, in the cool of the day, and, when this life is over child, I’ll take you away.

Silent Night

Written for guitar around 1818 in Germany by Josef Mohr and Franz Xaver Gruber. First performed in the Nicola-Kirche(Church of St. Nicholas), Oberndorf, Austria on Christmas eve, December 24, 1818.

Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy infant, so tender and mild, sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night, shepherds quake at the sight; glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ the savior is born, Christ the savior is born!

Silent night, holy night, Son of God, love’s pure light; radiant beams from thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord at thy birth, Jesus, Lord at thy birth.

Amazing Grace

Written by John Newton, 1725-1807. In his epitaph he wrote:

John Newton, Clerk(preacher), once an infidel and libertine, a servant of slaves in Africa, was by the rich mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, restored, pardoned, and appointed to preach the Gospel which he had long laboured to destroy. He ministered, near sixteen years in Olney, in Bucks, and twenty eight years in this church.(St Mary, Woolnoth, UK.)

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now I’m found; was blind, but now I see.

T’was grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved. How precious did that grace appear, the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come. His grace hath brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we first begun.
